The Venetian Macao is a hotel and casino resort in Macau owned by the Las Vegas Sands corporation. The Venetian is a 40-story, $2.4 billion anchor for the 7 hotels on the Cotai Strip in Macau. This 10,500,000-square-foot monster is sixth largest building and largest casino of the world.The casino measures 550,000 sq ft (51,000 m2). It is further divided into 4 themed gaming areas namely Golden Fish, Imperial House, Red Dragon and Phoenix. The casino consists of over 3400 slot machines and 800 gambling tables.
The Venetian Macao has also been involved in number of controversies.In 2010 the Chinese press reported that as part of a “sex-trade crackdown” authorities had found more than 100 prostitutes inside the casino. Also in early 2011 the United States Department of Justice and the Securities Exchange Commission initiated an investigation into the Las Vegas Sands Corporation with respect to the compliance of its Macao properties with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

The resort, located across the street from the Venetian on the Cotai Strip, covers an area of 420,000 sq. ft. and has an 520 tables for poker games, 1,350 gaming machines, 14 restaurants and bars along with 1,400 hotel rooms in three different hotels. It features a breathtaking multi-media show called the House of Dancing Water and The Dragon’s Treasure.

Founded in 1986 as a bingo hall , Foxwoods Resort Casino is third
largest casino of the world. The entire resort comprises 4,700,000 sq ft
(440,000 m2) of space. The casino has over 380 gaming tables and also
has the most slot machines of any casino in the world,numbering 6,300.
Slot machines at Foxwoods pay out roughly 91.5% of the money that
gamblers bet.In the fiscal year ending June 2008, Foxwoods’ slots
handled over $9.1 billion. 25% of slot revenue is given to the State of
Connecticut.

Macau also features a number of restaurant outlets, bars, and lounges.
